Youth Volunteering the focus in New Plymouth

The New Plymouth Volunteer Centre will take the volunteering message to three of the cities secondary schools during Volunteer Awareness Week.

They will hold mini-expos in Spotswood College and Inglewood and New Plymouth Girls High Schools. Participating in a very visual and active way will be Red Cross, Civil Defence, local fire brigades, search and rescue services, the Department of Conservation and other agencies.

There will also be a special information display in the public hall of the Top Town Complex, where the volunteer centre is located.
